Unmasked
A Solo Exhibition
Main room 24th October - 10th November 2018
Opening 6 - 8 pm Wednesday 24th October
Thursday-Saturday, 1-6pm

Sandra Curry's works expose the wooden ground beneath the painted
surface, thus dignifying the ordinary status of the wood, making it equally
truthful and commensurate with the fine art status of the paint. An
alchemical transformation occurs which opens up greater cause and
interpretation beyond the inherent beauty and/or banality of the natural
wood. The integrity and visual impact of these works rely heavily on the
hard crisp edge between paint and ground, to which end the application
and removal of masking tape is fundamental.

Summits and Temporal Ruins
Mailroom 11th - 20th October 2018
Opening 6 - 8 pm Wednesday 10th October
Thursday-Saturday, 1-6pm

Nicola McClelland’s latest solo exhibition, Summits and Temporal Ruins,
amalgamates refined monochrome coordinates-mementoes, removed from the architectural site that was once the artist’s home, with the raw detritus of urbanscapes - concrete, cardboard, plastic and asphalt. McClelland’s process-driven practice embodies a language that resonates literally and metaphorically in uncertain cultural and geographical contexts.
